Of all the things you will do on this project, none is more interesting to me than the trigger. Let me know how it all goes.

And the USPS strikes again. Ordered the buffer spring from Midway last Wednesday. Shipped UPS, and would've been here yesterday. IF it would have been UPS the whole way. But noooooooo, it's that "last mile" handoff to the USPS crap. So they got it at their facility on Sunday. The facility is about 45 miles away. It is now scheduled to be here on Friday. Because UPS can get it 1,500 miles in three days, but it takes the USPS 5 days to get it the last 45. Fucking pricks.

Heck yes. Sorry I didn't let you know- I was like a kid on Christmas to get it put together, and I forgot. Thanks brother! And it did have the castle nut, so that was one less thing I needed to order.

On a side note, the company I bought the lower from has plans to also make a 1911 80% lower. I love this loophole, and will take full advantage of it until it's closed.

No, from the Beretta factory in VA. You know, the company that used to employ people there in the commonwealth.
Then they moved to VA....at least thats where my barrel came from.

They are still here, in Acokeek and Pokomoke, but they are leaving. And taking their tax dollars with them. Also, in addition to our gas tax hike going into effect yesterday, the toll for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge also increased yesterday from $4 to $6. And the raise to $4 last year was from $3 the year before. Eff them. That much less reason to ever cross the Bay into that hellhole of liberal idealism known as the western shore of MD.

Nobody yet. The guy from EP Lowers was on an AR forum saying that they were getting a 1911 80% ready to go.

We currently offer the only 80% polymer lower available on the market. We are working on an 80% AR-10 mold as well and we have plans to do 80% 1911 polymer frames as well as hand guards, magazines, butt stocks etc. We are working every day to bring these new products to market as well and improve our existing product. We plan on offering at least one new unique product within the year.

If my bolt catch had gone together perfectly, I wouldn't worry about it. But the fact that I'm not 100% certain that the catch will function properly makes me REALLY want that spring, so I can test it, and make any adjustments that are needed. But for now, I just get to look at it, sitting useless in the corner.

Why don't you cut out a magazine picture of a drake sprig and set it next to the incomplete lower?

Can't do that. Had an ex-girlfriend named Michelle that the wife is familiar with. Pick another one.
