Nope. As soon as I start looking, I'll be buying. To many other priorities to start looking.

Take a good look at the R1. Best 1911 for the money. They're built to the same tolerances as John Browning built them. You get them too tight of tolerances and it takes 500 or so rounds to "break" them in. Them R1s don't need breaking in. Plus the slide is like silk cocking back. Great hog leg if you need to slap leather on something.

You're outside your mind. Best 1911 if you want one built with features from WWII. My vote for best bang for your buck would be Ruger. However, 1911s are a PITA, I get the fascination with them (kind of), but quite honestly unless you are going to spend the coin ($1500+) you are taking a risk. Call it 50/50

I'm not talking about WWII, I'm talking about the way they originally came. Only difference between JB design and Remington is Remington has a slightly longer beavertail, and different sights.

Exactly, why the fuck would I want something that LOOKS like it was built 100 years ago? It doesn't hold any collector value and it doesn't have the improved function and design that have come over the past 100 years. Pass. Hard Pass.

Plus, I'd let someone else be the canary for that. Remington hasn't built a quality gun in 10 years

No, I meant the "10 year" part. I'd probably go back further than that.

The fact that they caved so easily pisses me off. Just shows it's a scam, and they know it. Otherwise, they would have strung you out for 3 months. "Ok, you got us- we'll just settle for this couple hundred bucks, for nothing. Sorry." Multiplied by several hundred thousand who may dispute it, never mind the other 3 million who won't. Fuck those guys. Like Comcast raising the price for their cable boxes by $1. "But it's just a dollar." Yeah, multiplied by the 31 MILLION video subscribers they have. That's a nice little addition to the monthly revenue. For nothing.

Dish just did that to me. Raises the rental on the box from 10 to 12. The guy said he would credit me $6 for the 3 months - big deal. I told him I dont give a shit about 6 dollars, I lose that or more in the laundry every week, the he hung up on me. Haha

Have you actually even picked one up at a shop and finger fucked it a little? I own one, and like the dickens out of it. I don't why you'd pay 2x the amount on a Kimber or Para when the R1s are just fine a really a good gun that's accurate. Just my thought.
