Kinda envious, except for the part about figuring out what to do with a swan.

I've already got the taxidermist on retainer... just want one for the wall. It will also help me complete my goal of harvesting all of the North American Waterfowl Species

I'm thinking now of a friend's search for an appropriate wall for his bison head.

Have the same problem. My father was wealthy and had all sorts of taxidermy done. Could fill a large wall with deer heads and ducks. Only problem is...I live in a teeny crackerbox 3 bedroom ranch.
It's already "ducks in every room". Pictures of ducks, antique decoys, and a couple stuffed ducks.
Need to go down to the farm and get what I can get before it's gone. (it's a truckload)
Mom don't care and my brother don't want anything.
I'd rather have my dad back. He's missed.
I've heard that it's incredibly stupid to fuck around with a crazy man's head.

Well NoDak was pretty much a bust... warm temps, dried up potholes, standing crops, stale birds, and inability to hunt P.L.O.T.S led to a lack of opportunities. We did manage a few birds and Rusty did some great retrieving work.

Here's a few pics from our productive day... I'll be heading back in 2 weeks to try again.

Sorry it didn't go as hoped, but looking at that last poor duck reminds one that it could always be worse...

Well even though NoDak was sort of a bust we got some much needed rain at home and my property now has got some water on it. After the flood a few months ago smart weed came back in full force and is currently flooded in 3" of water making a 4-5 acre food hole right in front of my blind... the locals have pretty much shoved off and we're waiting for a good cold snap to get the Northern birds here and hopefully they find the food in front of my blind.

Me and Rusty did catch a few straggling locals on the second Southern Opener.

Well the lull is upon us... seems to be happening later and later each year. We had a nice cold front push in but it didn't bring any birds with it. However, it did push what was left of the wary locals out... went out yesterday and saw 2 wood ducks in the distance... have been slowly picking at them and got 3 more mallards over 4 days of hunting... it's been tough the last week...

Nice action shot of Rusty..

After the drainage district came through and cleared the canal I was worried about my property being too dry however the local beavers have my back...
