I'm determined to get into it one of these years. Need to do it on the cheap tho.

if you got a boat and a fishing license you can start for less than $20. I still use a $1 bow from a garage sale and you can make a spool for free that screws into the stabilizer. $12 arrow and $6 string and your set.

-cheap bow is self explanatory. Just needs to be about 30-40lb draw. Recurves are best.

-I'll post up a pic of my homemade spool tomorrow.

-muzzy fiberglass Bowfishing arrow with a carp tip and ams slide.

-25yards of muzzy braided 400# line. Tie string to spool and to arrow and your set.

Saltwater is where it's at. Stingrays are fun to shoot and put up a good fight.

My first kill bowfishing

Just some big mullet

My biggest houndfish(like a saltwater gar) to date. Those bitches have some sharp teeth. I have the scars to prove it. I bet that fish weighed 10lbs+.

One of my buddies ripped the jaw off a gar I shot because he thought it was cool. Ended up forgetting about it and left it lay it the yard. 2 days later my dad stepped on it bare feet. The jaw stuck to his foot until he pulled all the feet out. Some of em went in almost an inch.

right click on the picture and hit edit. My desktop open the picture in paint. Then hit resize and punch in the # of pixels you want it to be.
