On DHC in Jehlers "what you southern boys miss" thread, someone posted a video of guys catching a few of those thu the ice. I think they were trying to catch lake trout.
My absolute favorite time of the day is from just before dawn, until just after. Most folks will spend their entire lives in bed sleeping through that magical hour - Mean Gene

Found a 30 inch burbot dead on the MO yesterday with a 14 inch rainbow halfway down its throat, couldn't have been dead more than a day.

I'd love to catch one on a fly rod. That'd be one heck of a fight.

Not this year. Havent made the plans for Oneida yet. YOur making me feel panicked. It was a goal for this year. Its raining right now.
