Pike are for people who can taste the difference.

I fish walleyes every chance I get, but in most lakes, opportunities are rare and fish are small. If I lived closer to lake Michigan, thats all I would fish for.

Put you on the lakes around here and I promise it wouldn't be long and you'd be fishing pike as well

Best eaters of the year. Ended up with three. Cooked them with alot butter and lil oil with onions, jalopenos, and spices fast and hot with a squeeze of lemon.
Been spoiled with the whole gammit of fresh water fish this ice year and this was tops!

I can taste the difference, hence I prefer walleyes. Put me on the lakes around there and I would still target walleyes 95% of the time.

Walleye have no taste IMO. I'll take perch and crappie any day.

I used to like walleye more, now I'm liking Northern more. I think I'd still be targeting Northerns, no matter what I liked better, after seeing some of the pigs you've been pulling through. I went pike fishing a total of once this year. Way too busy trying to catch up on work. Did get quite a few perch though over than span of a few trips.

They have firm scallop like texture though and I rather come home with 3 fish to clean rather than 30 any day of my life.

My last day of ice for sure today. So many effin tims. Nothing worse than tim perch when trying to get gills. Pulling the shack in wet snow with slush underneath almost killed me and having flock after flock after flock of tundras go over head just hurt.

I know I kicked ya some shit in the other thread, all in fun, but that's a cool pic.
But something about the eyes on those things totally freaks me out. And there's a fleshiness to them that's just, odd.
