Made it back to the states last night. Weather sucked but had a few good hours of sun for trout fishing. Caught plenty of walleye to eat every day but none really picture worthy. Biggest Brook trout was 21". Sure beats working and I got to spend a week with my dad fishing.

Had to come back to work to get rested up. The blackflies had their moments but I've seen worse. At least you could breath without sucking them in.

Looks like a fun trip. Those spruce grouse must be the dumbest animal on earth. . No self preservation instincts at all.

He was eating walleye carcasses that we had thrown in the lake and those are the pieces of skin from the fillet that were still attached to the 15" carcass. He also had a couple of the rib portions in his gut. No idea how he thought he was going to fit my spinner in there too. In less than three minutes he went from having walleye for breakfast to being filleted and in the freezer.
