the flea flicker works most time but its a flat not round mono, which make it sit all weird on the spool. you get the fleas as bad as that pic?

Yeah, it's sporadic, you'll mark them on the graph and then look and see your Dipsy angles aren't right, even had them release the riggers. Shits nasty, not a common occurrence but sometimes they get thick

We got some with those eyes on em trust me. That one might even have them on top but I forget. Usually the fleas get bad and it coicides with changing from 20 lb test to 30lb for the late summer fall hogs so it works out. The 30lb mono does a good job of shaking off those fleas actually.

Get yourself some of those glad disposable tupperwares, mix up tuna and sardines(has to be packed in oil) and let the baits and the little foam strip marinade in the fridge, back it full and close it up before you head out. When you get back right in the freezer. Jr has a way of wrapping the leaders so they don't tangle, it's black magic as far as I can tell or is share the technique

I'm gunna take the long way to port next Thursday and hit up the outlying dealers that hold them and see what's up. Make a few calls too. Thanks for the offer though. This sandy creek shootout tourny is fun as hell. Its also the last day for the summer loc tourny and that has a huge purse for largest single fish. Good times. My buddy still hasn't forgiven me for horsin a huge king last year so I preparing for some redemption. I'm gunna bring my arm swimmies just in case I drop another hog this year and have to swim back to port.

BEEF HAS GOT THE SEA LICE!

We get them, but not that bad. They don't stick to our 25# ande, they like the power pro, though. Really messes up our sinker poles with the big birds.

Any meat out there, Beef? Things have been lean here. 6-12 fish a trip, which is enough for most folks but not too exciting for me. We do manage to crack one or two 20-24 pound kings every trip. Putting a fish like that in the cooler takes a lot of pressure off.

Jehler, wire dipsys?

You're my tin boat hero

Jehler, a 16 foot starcraft mariner fishes like an 18. I love those mariners.

Billy, We got spoiled last year so it seems like things are a bit off but theyre not. 4-10 fish is about right for us when fishing kings this year on a half day. We dont fish a huge spread like you. Minus that trip where the fleas made it almost impossible on 20lb/25lb line. We switched to 30lb for this weekend. Not all kings, usually a few skipper cohos and throw a steel or two in there. But if its slow we can always just move in and crush lakers and pick up a brown or two. They have been very easy this year. Hopefully this weekend we can land a few slobs for this tourny. Fingers crossed and weather is looking good and the water column ought to be set up just right.

Seeing I get about 100 pounds of salmon filet each year and it cost about 12$/pound on average I'm pulling a cool $1200 gross
