I'm planning on pissing off some ice fishermen by opening the landings to get the duck boat out next week.

I'm not ready for ice fishing until after deer hunting, but then I crave it big time.

I'm feeling a big pike contest.

Dude you realize I'm 20 minutes from Fort Peck right? The 20 pound mark will be broken. Repeatedly. While fishing for walleyes.

Ok, I might be stretching that a little, but I have no doubt I break 20 pounds this winter.

The lake I fish doesn't give up #20 often, but the size structure is there.

Anyone can talk, let's see some meat on the ice

Got confirmation today that the lake west of here is locked up. Should be making ice quick at the temps we are going to have for the next few days.

I know everything about catching salmon out there. Ultra-light rod, some sort of bright colored jig, some spikes to tip the hook with, and a flasher. Drill holes and move until you find em.

I can catch my 10 fish limit every time on the reg res.

Google that shit. Spikes are maggots from houseflies. Pretty sure Bill and I argued about that one last year. If you don't know what a flasher is, you have never truly ice fished and I cannot help you :?

You're fucked. Might get lucky and get a few if you set up in a hot spot but they cruise all over the water column.

I just got a new bird, ice 55. Very, very sharp unit. Was fishing side by side with FL-18's (similar price) and all those guys kept commenting on how nice the bird looked. The zoom feature on the vexi is a bad joke by comparison.
