Spring Bass

Spring Bass

Postby Deltaman » Mon Mar 17, 2014 7:52 am

Water temps are starting to reach the mid 60's and spinner bait fishing over the grass is starting to get red hot! Gave the tide enough time to rise high enough over the grass with the South wind and incoming tide, and launched with Jenny around 2 p.m., after a midday rain storm. The skies stayed overcast, and the fish were hungry. It didn't take too long, and and by 4:30, had a limit of 20. We don't typically catch a lot of big bass in our delta, but are blessed with numbers when the conditions are right..........and it was right!

Stopped and picked up a qt of fresh oysters on the way home, and had a fresh seafood dinner to cap the day

Love this time of year!

Nice Dan! I wanted to go out this weekend and it looks like I should have.
