I wish I lived closer to you, cause I'd take some of those hogs. :D

Congratulations all around, but especially to the gal who did the work.

Congrats brother, and glad to hear that your son's early arrival will bode well for your duck season too!!!!!

Congrats. I'm sure your wife is very happy about 4 less weeks of suffering  And looks like Beau is going to be a hunter. He knew you don't do anything around opening day.

Wife woke me up at 1 am Tuesday morning to tell me her water had broken. We didn’t have bags packed, as she wasn’t due until Halloween, so it was pandemonium for a few minutes as we loaded up and took off for the hospital an hour away (poor Legh thought duck season had arrived early and was sorely disappointed when she didn’t get to go). Made it in plenty of time and our son Beau was born at 215 that afternoon. Mom and baby are doing exceptionally well, especially for him being 4 weeks early.

With him being born early, that makes it much more likely that I’ll get to make my planned trip for opening weekend in the middle of November as well as being able to make multiple trips afterwards. I’m pretty excited on both fronts, having the baby here healthy and the prospect of being freed up for more duck trips!

Congrats! My first was born on Oct 2 and I made out OK for the season.

Responsible parents would arrange a play date with ducks.

Well cool, our little ones share a birthday. I hope to be able to report that my experience mirrors yours!

You'll be fine, enjoy the hunts, and enjoy the time at home.

Oh believe me I'm counting down the days to not only be able to take advantage of youth hunts again (currently fresh out of youth-qualified hunters), but also get in on a nearby NWR that allows adults to hunt only when accompanying a youth hunter. Stellar hunting there in last few years due to such low pressure

I was unaware there was such a place, but sure like the concept.
