It was funny because for the first 2 hours he was jones-ing around looking for a way. I offered a dip of cope several time but he wouldn't take my offer. Then he finally had his epiphany. He cut a new shell lengthwise, got rid of the pellets and saved the powder. Then did the same cut on an empty shell and put them together, like a canoe. Hooked wires to the battery then jumped face first into the flare up. Smoked 3 back to back while he could monkey start em, and still ended up getting a head rush.

Some #5 lead shot reloads in #4 steel shot hulls
Some choke tubes and wrench......it drives your friends crazy if you keep changing chokes
pocket knife
duck strap
about 40 duck and goose calls.........again, this will drive your friends crazy
Ipod and speaker for music in the blind (got an I phone now so that I can talk to people and listen to music)
sunglasses and sunblock
bottle of water for the dog
dog cookies for the dog
condoms (for safety)
and most important, a flask of whisky or brandy

I got the original one that Ol' Man Briley forged in his blacksmith shop, framed in a shadow box with an original photo of Nash Buckingham, John Olin and Briley and a limit of ducks and a hand written note from Teddy Roosevelt to Briley personally approving the original patent.

I don't carry a compass, but I don't hunt big lakes...I can throw a rock across the river I hunt in most areas. It's a good idea though, and will be added this season.

Wader Repair Kit
Neck Gaiter
Hats (Ballcap & Colde Weather)

Baby wipes - Great compliment to TP when in the woods...

I pack like a woman, but I would rather be prepared than need something I left at home.

You should use the whistle for teal and sprig!
