Good beginner duck call

I'm having a little bit of difficulty switching over to my new single reed because I was used to the way a double reed blows. It's a whole new ball game IMo.

It is a fact that it is harder to go from a double to a single. So if you ever plan on using a single it is best to start on one. Thats why I suggested the J Frame or the RNT Original would be the same thing only more expensive.

There is a difference for me but its not rocket science. Kinda like saying you can't blow a speck call if you learn to blow a duck call first.

There is a difference between the two. Air presentation and amount of voice are two big ones. Not saying that you cannot switch calls and change methods subconsciously it is just that it isn’t easy for a beginner.

Actually my main call is a basin waterfowl - moderatly priced, and I don't honestly even call much. I just need a place to display my bands. Most people I see that claim to be "duck whisperers" do more damage than good, if they want to be there - they will come into range.

I agree tripod. You should hear the refuge on a Saturday around here. A duck flys over and he's greeted with 50 different hail calls, it's awsome.
