Mora Companion

Postby Olly » Fri Apr 26, 2013 10:41 am

This is for Assa who asked about the thickness of of the Mora Companion blade when compared to a kitchen steak knife.

Assa, I compared it to two steak knives. A super cheap one and a mid grade one.

And compared to the Gerber Gator

Thanks Olly! That thing's not a pansy ass little knife at all. How can they be so cheap? And carbon steel, no less. My meter is going off.

Yeah I am interested in that, too.

Does it say China on it anywhere?

Holy crap!

OKAY where can I get one?

If you think its a good knife, and its really only $12, I am willing to take a gamble. I have paid more for less.

Or as GKR told his wife on their first date, "I have gotten more and paid less".

Yeah I am going to get one for me, and one for my cousin's upcoming birthday as a gift. He butchers a lot of animals every year, will be interested to know his take on it, too.

Lots of mods available for these knifes. I may go balls out and get the carbon steel version in desert camo.

I can't say it enough- it's a very well-made knife, and sharp as a motherfucker right out of the sheath. I got the 840, with carbon steel blade. Not much on stainless steel knife blades. My brain is still having trouble with it only being $14.
