If I'm using a cheap plastic whistle, it's going to be a haydel's. Far more comfortable than the rest of em.

Pretty much carry everything mentioned already plus..two handheld gps, handheld VHF, spotlight, extra spark plugs/spark plug wrench, batteries, extra kill switch for the motor, tube of 5200, extra drain plug, batteries, extra cord in case motor pull cord breaks, baby wipes. Used to only carry TP, but it got wet one day. Wet TP doesn't work. Baby wipes work fine when wet.

Oddly enough, yes. It goes with me if I'm using the boat to hunt out of, or get to a blind. If hunting impoundment or a walk in area, I'll take a back pack and scale it way back.

You could scale back the blind bag by just keeping most of that in a dry box in the boat.

That's a good point and I think I will do that. I take way too much stuff and don't pack as efficient as I should.

Old poor mans trapshooter trick if you need to tighten up a flush-mounted choke tube that had notches in it, I nickel normally does the trick especially for Rem Chokes and the like.

you don't have one? I collect them, I just got an original briley from there first run before they changed to plastic handles on choke trader forum for $153, poor bastard didnt know what he had!

But did you get the old school full scroll choke wrench yet?

I got the original one that Ol' Man Briley forged in his blacksmith shop, framed in a shadow box with an original photo of Nash Buckingham, John Olin and Briley and a limit of ducks and a hand written note from Teddy Roosevelt to Briley personally approving the original patent.
damn this thread got funny

Made it for my brother. We even used one of the 'no slam' toilet seats.
