For Jon boat headlights it is new.
Was soldering led's in panels before you were born.

Do you own this led lightbar company or what? Put one on your boat, test it, and call me in five years with your report. I guess you got one duck season so far and they work great in your kitchen sink. :)

What happens when the first one of them LED's burns out and takes nine more with it?
Buy a new one?

Betty here's another topic you don't know what you're talking about. You're very suspicious of new technology I've noticed.

Anyway LEDs last way longer than filament bulbs and very rarely burn out.

Dont most LED bulbs claim to have 100,000 hour life span?

I don't really care if you think they're great or not. What gets me is a man that can sit there and knock something just because it's new or different. You do this all the time with new stuff that you've never even used.

Traditions are one thing, being a stubborn fool is another Betty. I know you're a smarter man than that, open your mind a little to new possibilities in life.

I love my LED bar and can say without hesitation that is in every single way better than traditional filament lights. Anyone reading this thread and is considering buying one can't go wrong. Even with the Chinese knock offs.

Ever buy one of the LED flashlights?

Them little short ones you see at Christmas for cheap. They suck and for sure don't last 100,000 hours. That's why I'm skeptical about LED being the cats meow.

My limit on lighting is $20. Can you get one of them for that?

Eventually there will be no incandescent lighting at all.
I'll drink the led coolaide then.
Will confess I replaced my side markers with LED's to see if I like them. So far, not impressed.

Got one of these light bars for the squid after seeing Ollys review several months ago. I love it and it's hands down better then any driving light I've had before. I know several people who are going to buy one now after seeing how well the one on my boat works.

I will say this- I avoid the LED lights for my smaller flashlights, because they don't blood track worth a damn. That white light just washes out blood, so if I'm bow hunting, I take the old AA maglight. Yellow light works so much better for that. Otherwise, all my headlamps and such are LED.

Ironically enough, the best light for tracking I've found is from my Coleman lantern. But it's such a pain in the ass to tote around the woods that I'll only go get it if it's one of those marginal hits, that leaves one drop of blood every 30 feet or so. Something about that light makes even a little it of blood very noticeable, and it throws good shadows too, which seem to help see the track he took, if you can't find any blood. No idea why, but it does.

I was talking to the guy at the bow shop the other day and he gave a tip that I think, if it works, will be awesome. He said to keep one of the small pump sprayer (gallon or two) full of water in the truck, if the blood trail gets tough to follow get it and dump 1 bottle hydrogen peroxide in and spray away. Blood foams up no matter how old the trail is. He swears by it.

You van get the stud that changes blood neon blue too. Or get the UV blue LED light. That makes blood stick out like a muffuggah

I want one of those light bars but I have my current lights mounted in an aluminum housing and people step on it sometimes, afraid it'll get broken.
