Postby Lamboicon » Tue Aug 28, 2012 5:25 pm

I have ordered the line and everything I need to rig my decoys I order 10lb of 6oz egg weights. Well that's only like 26 weights. I have old strap lead that i have from friends. I want to melt them down and make my own. Where can i buy the best mold.

If you don't want to melt them down just use the strap weights, I've re-used my old ones they work just fine.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

I bought my mold off of Ebay, its a Do-it brand 6, 8 ounce egg mold, it makes 1 of each size at a time. Make sure you give them a few seconds to fully set up in the middle or when you pull the pin the inside of the egg will cave in on the opening. I had very poor luck with trying to drill these out, and found it easier to just re-pour the bad castings. I think it cost me around 35 bucks including shipping. If you dont want to buy the mold I could sell you some of my extra weights.
