Mojo Question

Postby Legendary_Magnum » Tue Jul 22, 2014 9:03 pm

What would happen if you added a 12 v bilge pump and 12v battery to a 6v mojo spinning decoy. I would also put on some type of timer. Could the spinning wing motor handle the 12v for short bursts to power the bilge pump for movement?

My guess is it'll spin twice as fast for half as long.

It will last for a while. Could be 1 hunt, could be 1 year. But I wouldn't do it if you plan on keeping it.

The 6 volt motor will burn out extremely fast.
But if you want the combo they make 6 volt pumps.

Or you could buy a voltage regulator and place it between the mojo and the battery.

Look at Mojo mama jama. Their version of spinner, pulsator. I bought one this year, impressed with everything except battery life. It's a 12 volt system.

You need to wire it like this.

12v battery > 12v pump > 12v to 6v converter > mojo

They can all have the same ground just make sure the power is run in that order.

Use this.

Just a thought and I know it's not your question. But what about just getting a commercial grade 6 volt battery?

I'm not even sure what he's trying to do really. Is he wanting to add a bilge pump to a floating mojo?

The way I read it was he's wants to run a mojo off of the same battery as he is running his bilge pump off of? But I also don't know how to read haha I'm more of a picture kind of guy

That makes more sense. I'm an idiot.
