I did hear the rumor, but nothing to validate it yet.

I also heard that Zink/Avian X sold out to another company...again,...just a rumor.
I also read that Flightstopper is currently heading up a Mexican cartel...but again...just a rumor. ;)

Ready to put my curb stompers to the guy who throws my Avian X deal.

If all of Avery's pro-staffers would donate just one dollar each, they could turn it around.

Haha! Probably more merit to that than we even realize.

Who's going to buy it?

No one. The only asset of value would be the Goodwill, and that is severely impaired.

Well of course they make the finest product available on the market with no expense spared to stand up to the rigors of waterfowling.

Nothing at all. I think they're a great company, they make great products that are reasonably priced and quality built... 8-)

They were cheaply priced when they first started making decoys but the quality has gone down while the prices keep going up.

If my info is correct and I think it is they are Bank owned right now and Tom Mathews is no longer calling the shots.

I can see that I'm going to be patching my hunting clothes until I can't patch them anymore and then I'll hang up the shotgun for good. Cabelas has slid so far down that I quit buying from them and could care less if they go under despite buying their gear for 40 years. They used to be the best and now it sucks so bad that I refuse to even look at their catalogs.
Never shopped around much because I could count on Cabelas. Once they sold the business it went straight to hell and I suspect that Avery is on the same exact path. Take care of your stuff because when you go to replace it you're going to moan when you see the prices and then groan when you feel the quality ice water running down the inside of your leg on that brand new pair of waders that's guaranteed for the life of the garment which is OVER the minute you put it on. Rant over.

Cabelas is dead to me. Been dead for years.
Macks Prairie Wings has a secret stash of Drake pullovers in hobbit size so I'm ok for now.
