Spinning winged decoys

The first time I saw spinning winged duck decoys was in either 1995 or 1996.
I'd went back to college (at age 34?) so it's pretty easy to recall what year or pretty close.
There was a guy at the Banner Marsh walk-ins by the Illinois River who had two home-made spinners.
I'm not sure but I think maybe one had a motor. Dang that guy made it look easy because he had them before anyone else.
Brilliant guy but somehow he's not rich.
Here's an article but I'm not sure it's perfectly acurate. http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2012/j ... g-flap/#/0
The first spinning wing decoy I could purchase was the Mathews motorized duck. Got one at Rural King in Rantoul, IL.
Pretty cool. Light with fold-up wings. Mine still works and has a mojo remote installed. I'm pretty sure I bought it in 1997 the first chance I got when I saw one.
