Propane is no good in a tent because it makes moisture that condenses. Try camping when it's single-digits, heat with propane, and it will actually rain inside your tent on a clear night. It's that bad
So I tried other alternatives. Electric is excellent but there ain't no power where I camp. Generator is an option but mine is tiny and would never power anything more than an electric blanket.
What works the best:
1. The coleman catalytic heaters (old school)
This:
The silver cover is a "snuffer" used to extinguish the heater when you're done. Don't lose it!
2. The gloy Heat Pal.

Sorry. The Gloy video is fighting me. The one in the video is pretty much the same thing.
Both are not cheap to run but they both make dry heat that is safe.
When it's really cold and windy I'll run both heaters in a fairly small tent. Think 4-man pup tent. One of them cheapies that has criss-crossing poles.
