Duckmaster boat rebuild.

Duck boats and duck boat blinds!

It bothers me whenever I see anyone wearing the wrong stuff on a boat. We all spend so much on hunting gear and other fun things and so many people neglect to spend just a little more on safety equipment. You can get the right gear for just a few more bucks...

Dually noted. Thanks.

Or wear your life jacket. Or grab onto the bag of decoys.

There used to be a Ducks Unlimited (I think) commercial that used to give me the creeps...
Basically, you see a dog swimming around amongst a bunch of decoys floating,...and then the perspective slowly changes to where you're looking up watching the dog swimming around as you're sinking to the bottom...

A kid died last season here in Georgia just hanging on to the bag of decoys. You gotta get to shore. Get naked and build a damn fire if you can.

What most people fail to realize is when you hit the water in wintertime, the water is usually so cold that your body's first reaction is to suck in a breath, and those that go under typically get some water in their lungs. If you can't cough and expel immediately, good chance you aren't gonna make it. I've been in it, and lost one of my closest friends to it a few years ago. It's easy to feel confident when you are dry, but the pfd is kinda like wearing a seat belt.......... when you need it, best have it on or take the chance of suffering the consequences.

Moved my snap studs around to make the covers fit. Idk what purpose they're gona serve. Maybe a wind blocker on the ends and a little cover. Good for a theft deterrent leaving gear in it in the waffle house parking lot. Rain roof when waiting for LST? Idk. Thinking about sewing some loops in them to attach grass. Endless possibilities.

I have a pop up blind with some canvas that I drape across.

My blind covers my head in the rain, and it comes off so I can use it like a boat for the other 5 months that we have soft water

Let's see it.
I wasn't trying to be a dick with that one. Just messing around bc I love how this boat is going to be super versatile. Nicest duck boat I've ever owned.

Good thing is I don't have to build a blind and it's got a good motor. The last thing I wana be doin is selling and buying outboards again. What a fuckin ordeal owning 4 outboards in less than a year. Only good thing is I'm now an expert on small outboard values.

Yeah. Mine had neither. Had to build a blind, buy an outboard, paint, new floor, and all rewired. Trailer needed tires, bunks, and springs as well as rewired and paint.
