Has anyone used or heard of a Banded Axe Blind? I'm thinking about just saying screw building my own blind and buying one of these.

The banded one doesn't look that bad. Here's a guy that got one and posted pictures.

My problem with the mud buddy blind is its just a scissor blind like the Cabelas northern flight blind. I want one with a top on it like the Avery blind I had.

It doesn't really "scissor", but what I really like is the belly bar and the set up/tear down time. I can set it up by myself in a minute or less. The material rolls up and clips to the top bar so there is really nothing in the way when not in use.

Go with whatever you like Olly, but I've been really happy with mine.

No good ones in my phone, but I'll take some when I put it back on the boat in a week or so. I do have one with it set up, and one where you can see it rolled up along the gunnel.

Pics in a sec

I used cedar because it's free, and it's only for open water, so I don't really need to blend into anything.

I just ordered up bimini joints, and camo netting for the new blind. I need to decide if I'm going with raffia or grass sheets again.

Olli don't know what your terrain looks like but have you seen the mojo leafy sheet. They look great with raffia mixed in.

Built this in a day with a buddy exact replica of the cabelas northern flight boat blind but this one is made from 1x1 aluminum square tubing and welded and bolted together all for about $150 compared to cabelas $400 cheap thin wall tubing

AJ I'm going to do pretty much the same thing with the C claps.

That looks like some good work you got going on there.

Then again, you could go to the local appliance store and get a cardboard box that refrigerators come in and have pretty much the same as the branded X blind. Get several and paint them different colors.

Check Joseph Stern Co.

I just ordered 25 lbs for $145 shipped. Much cheaper than killer weed...

Got the supports done. With this blind I don't want to put any holes in the boat. So using C clamps was my solution. So far it's a pretty good one too, the supports are super sturdy.
