I was talking about using it for filler. I always use natural on top.

I always try to cover the thing completely with natural but sometimes the tide does not allow for that.

Hmmm that sucks. I use a lot of natural vegetation, been making grass mats the Indabros way since last season.

Yep, National Seashore. Even so, anywhere else in the state you aren't allowed to use or "manipulate" phragmites to hunt from. I have no idea why, especially since it's about 95% of our marshes here. Technically, I'm breaking the law when I hunt from shore and use a clothespin to "bend" the reeds where they cover me up. I hate this state.

Could you explain that method? I must have missed it over there.

I'll be making more in the next week or two. I'll post some pics of the process. If you don't wanna wait until then I'll try to explain.

Take two 2ft 2x2's and hang them from somewhere (I use my garage door) hang them right next to each other from the middle of each. Then also near the middle you will string 8ft of twine in a "U" shape so it's 4ft long. Then you place some grass long ways into both of the "U" about 5" high. Twist both 2x2's so the twine twist. Repeat over and over until you have a rough 4x4' sheet.

This is really more of a modified Inda way I took the idea and added a 2nd 2x2 I think they only used one.
