I will, some of the spots I want to get to could be 30-45 min boat ride into the delta. Maybe even longer, that place is huge!

I was just going to say don't pack the extra weight if you don't need to - every pound counts. I have gone as far as 22 miles round trip in my boat on less than my 6 gal tank. It was getting low, but not scary low.

I was just going to say don't pack the extra weight if you don't need to - every pound counts. I have gone as far as 22 miles round trip in my boat on less than my 6 gal tank. It was getting low, but not scary low.

I figure either way I'll be carrying an extra 5 gallon can, so why not save on the space? It might end up being a 12 gallon tank. I will be calling a fab shop here locally to cut and weld me a gas filling hatch on the front kind of like the excel boats have.
