Rough setup here. I need to order some more bimini hardware for the supports and also figure out what to slide inside the conduit to give it strength at the joints. I'm thinking a 3/4 piece of wood dowel should do the trick.

I get what you're saying but if you notice the two sides are different lengths. Thats because instead of opening equally the starboard side leans over and is a roof and the port side folds up into a door in front of you. Here's a better picture.

Got it. It'll be a cool blind if you can figure out your strength issue in the conduit.

Olly, did you use 1/2" or 3/4" EMT? If its 3/4 a piece of 1/2" will fit inside.

I used 3/4" and I just got back from Lowes with some 1/2 conduit. It's what I used to strengthen on my last scissor blind but it does add weight.

just use a 1 foot piece shoved 6" into each end of the 3/4 then weld or sheet metal screw together

I used a heavy mesh like the ones used on top of dump trucks under the camo netting. The mesh allows you to see through it while still masking movement. A little light grassing to break the silhouette and you'll be golden.

It looks like it'll hide you well, buuuut I imagine it will limit your shooting direction a lot. If you always hunted a river with a bluff behind you I wouldn't see it as a problem, but in the marsh they are as unpredictable as Michigan's weather.

No blind is perfect for every situation. I had a normal scissor blind on my first boat and while it gave you 360 degrees of shooting it also left a black hole that ducks can see down into.

The material is easy to see through so I'll be able to keep a eye on ducks and get them when they swing around.
