I got rid of the 6 gallon tank in my boat for a couple of reasons. This tank wouldn't pick up all of the fuel due to its shape. It was an Attwood. So I would run out, but still have over a gallon of fuel. I only run somewhere from a couple hundred yards to ten miles depending on the day. It is nice not having to stop and fill up the tank everyday and if I do make a long run I have plenty of fuel.

Isn't it designed that way so you have reserve fuel? Tilt it up and get the rest, never tried it myself though

No, because you have to take off the cap and use a stick to push the pickup tube over to the fuel as you balance it on its corner and run the boat at the same time. It hit the UDS trash can

There's an app or website that shows the stations with ethanol free gas in your area. Let me see if I can find it.

You are correct. The only thing that makes it premium is the amount and quality of the detergents in the fuel and the octane.
