boat electrical project

My boat has a custom power panel. Pretty slick. I want to put a cigarette lighter recepticle where that hole is on the end. There is plentyof space in that corner. That way I could charge a phone with a car charger. Could light blunts as well.
Any ideas where to get the recepticle?

What do you call it? Search engines are picky.
Tried autozone and it starts, what year vehicle. lol
Generic lighter assembly is what I want as you can see.

Be very weary of "off brand" receptacles. Make sure its rated for at least 8 amps and its fused, also don't get anything with less than 16 ga wire.

Buying wire agitates the shit outta me. What I think is going to be a cheap easy project easily quadruples when I realize how much wire I actually need.

Got that right. I need to run power to the chicken coop. The conduit/outlets/fixtures are going to run me about $10. The fucking wire is going to be about $35. So they get to sit in the dark for a while longer.

You dont understand. I live out of my truck and camp all duck season. Primitive conditions. I could easily get drunk and forget to charge my phone AND the power pack thing you suggest. My boat makes its own power and has a deep cycle battery.

I suspect that takes a USB cable to charge, but I could be wrong. Been meaning to get one of those, but can't find one that has decent reviews. Used to love listening to shortwave radio when I was a kid. In the days before cable and satellite TV, listening to the BBC news from London, and Radio Johannesburg fascinated me to no end.

For the same ten bucks I can buy one of them splitters. Cut and strip the wires back and connect to battery in boat. Your solution is the easiest and most expensive one so far. Thanks. My kids said the same thing.

I like free the best. Was kinda hoping someone else would suggest a junk yard.

Have learned over the years that it saves me money if I kinda take my sweet assed time doing these kinda projects. I mean, how many times have you found a sale the day after you bought stuff for a project? How many times havecyou found something better the day after you settled? Cant afford to get in a fucking hurry. Sorry if it offends.
