I actually did buy two for the jeep. Fancy- has auxiliary power on both sides. Uptown class. I think the wire was more expensive than both lighters combined.

Buying wire agitates the shit outta me. What I think is going to be a cheap easy project easily quadruples when I realize how much wire I actually need.

THINK for just one minute before you use harsh words like dingleberry.
Why in the hell would you buy batteries to charge a battery when you have a 12-volt battery on board?
I heard that if you burn two five dollar bills and chant while dancing in a counterclockwise circle around your phone...will charge it.
AT? Help me get this man to understand what "frugal" means

You said it would be for emergencies. You said it Elton. Not me.
Besides you get several uses out of the batteries on some models.
I really think you should go get one.

For the same ten bucks I can buy one of them splitters. Cut and strip the wires back and connect to battery in boat. Your solution is the easiest and most expensive one so far. Thanks. My kids said the same thing.
What I have decided to do is to take the lighter out of one of the work trucks for FREE.
I like free the best. Was kinda hoping someone else would suggest a junk yard.
Have learned over the years that it saves me money if I kinda take my sweet assed time doing these kinda projects. I mean, how many times have you found a sale the day after you bought stuff for a project? How many times havecyou found something better the day after you settled? Cant afford to get in a fucking hurry. Sorry if it offends.FlintRiverFowler wrote:aunt betty wrote:FlintRiverFowler wrote:aunt betty wrote:FlintRiverFowler wrote:The power pack doesn't charge. You dont understand. I live out of my truck and camp all duck season. Primitive conditions. I could easily get drunk and forget to charge my phone AND the power pack thing you suggest. My boat makes its own power and has a deep cycle battery.
Capeesh?
