Our affiliation with Mud Buddy motors is longstanding and everyone that knows us knows that. However, what you may not know is that we also sell Gator Tail and Prodrive motors, Yamaha, and Mercury as well. We don't built motors. We sell them. WE BUILD BOATS...boats are what we do and we are good at it!
We offer over 50 sizes of hulls with literally countless interior custom designs, motor options all over the map, and a lifetime warranty on our hulls. We make them from .125 or .190, but never thinner. We offer our customers the ability to dream about a boat the way they want it, then the chance to have that dream boat built for them the way they want it.
We wont be the cheapest, we WILL be the best. Note a couple things. Because we are a small company (about 30 employees) we are a family here. We do not take on extra help in August and then lay people off just in time for Christmas. Which wouldn't be a problem if duck hunters remembered when the season starts!
Buuuuuut...they don't. So we get swamped at the last minute each year with orders and can get like we are now...10-12 weeks out. Keep this in mind if you find that Gator Trax is the boat for you...order early. I will add some more pics to this thread as we go along but I will start with one of our newest editions the Gen II. This is an adaptation to the original Gator Hide we developed back in 2006. The original Hide works great, but there are some aspects that some guys don't like. Laying out to hunt is not for everyone, the sides are short (so you can see over them laying down) and the boat is 62" wide on the bottom, which keeps you from getting in tight areas sometimes. Even though the pit blind is great for concealment..you cant move if the ducks don't want to be where YOU are. What is rule #1 for duck hunting?.....There is NO substitution for being where the ducks what to be! No call, no spread will do it. We've all fought that losing battle. With this...you just move. It is basically the Gen II cockpit in a nice little 300lb package. It fits in a truck bed...it is made of .125 so you can drag it down a mud levee road to the next field they decide to use tomoro. It offers as low of a profile hunt as possible without laying down. TOTAL concealment from the top and stable as a concrete platform. N
