Probly gona have them cover the live well hole too.

Have them weld a triangle in there, or you will end up with that problem again.

gusset is the word you are looking for NOT triangle.

Not a fan of inception or shutter island. For some reason I was thinking shutter island was about ghosts but it was just about a psycho. Probably would've been ok if I wasn't expecting ghosts.

A gusset is a TRIANGLE used do add strength to a joint.
Calling a gusset a triangle is like calling a mallard a duck.
They are the same damn thing.
Gussets are normally used at the chine between the hull side and bottom frames though...not at the transom.

please ask the other guys here that work in manufacturing what its called.
i know im not the only machinist or fabricator here. no matter what the fuck you think. you are wrong son
its a fucking gusset and not a triangle
also your triangle in most cases will need a fillet on at least one corner to make room for a welded seam or other obstruction. completely destroying your so call triangle, since a triangle has but 3 edges.
but you are the smart one

thats the last part of said post. triangle has 3 edges and thats all. most all gussets in manufacturing have at least a small fillet in the one corner so it get set square into place.

Just got home from taking the motor out for a test ride. Ran great. Reverse is awesome to have. Gets out of the hole pretty quick but takes it a little longer than I like to get on plane. Had me (185lbs) my brother (195-200lbs) and the dog (60 lbs) in it the boat and we were cruising at 23. So not bad at all. Didnt run it by myself bc it's a pain to adjust the trim and the wind was picking up pretty good. When I tried to go by myself with it trimmed up for a load it was nose up almost immediately. I'm trying to get the video uploaded to YouTube.

Found this volleyball net, a bunch of garbage and a bunch of shells in one of the spots I like to hunt. People are so shitty. I'd like to know who did it so I could offer them some advice on how to be a big boy and pick up after themselves. I picked up their volleyball net in fear of wildlife getting tangled in it and kicked their orange peels into the lake. But I wasn't hauling their nasty garbage in my boat.

Please stay on topic. WFF has a general forum for off topic talk.

See how far up the water has come? That's the tree we built our brush blind against. And those sticks at the shore are the remnants of it.

23 is plenty fast for running in the dark.

I'm sorry. Got distracted. Good to see you got the transom fixed. Did you have anything added or just reweld the crack?
