I've got a 16' lowe wide jon boat that i use for duck hunting. I'd like to creat a blind to put over this boat for shore line hunting or open water floating situations.
the boat also has decking in the front and back.
does anyone have any ideas or plans on how to build a blind ontop of the decking?

I sent you a PM. The frame I built used the corner pieces instead of using a pipe bender, but a pipe bender is the way to go.

Don't want to toot my own horn, but that blind works awesome. Sets up in 2 min and folds down and out of the way.

Conduit frame, then a medium duty tarp, then I put green plastic snow fence over it to attach brush. I took a couple cans of flat tan spray paint to it to nock the shine down off the tarp and plastic.

So it's a tarp. I like the idea for a wind stopper.

Yup. Only problem is it is kinda a sail with that up so it takes a big anchor to keep it in place. I use a 25lb on the front and a 15lb on the back for my 16'. And I wouldn't want any lighter.

Nah that's a pretty good blind, bc it folds down and you dont drive with it up.

A standard scissor blind is hard to beat. They are cheap to make yourself and easy.

becasue of the platforms in my boat i can not sit on the bottom of the boat. I have to shoot or hunt off of the platforms. i cant get a scissor blind tall enough to conceal us. I've tried

Id rather buy another boat than do that.....with the platforms in its a great bass fishing boat.
This boat is normally on a trailor however it is extreamly light and 2 of us can pick it up off the trailor and walk it to ponds that a lot of people wont have access to becasue they can not get a trailored boat there.
Same thing appies when trying to slip into a nasty swamp to kill a few woodies in the early fall.

Layout blinds.
Just brush up the boat, then set field layout blinds on top and brush them I'm a bit. It would be easy, and keep you really low profile.

I bought a tubing bender, some 1/2" conduit and built my own. Including the attachments for bimini covers and all the stainless steel screws and bolts, less than $120 and less than a day of construction.
