I get 5200 from Lowe's. $12 for 10.5 ounce tube of fast cure. At our local store it's in the paint section with the other caulk and they have little "marine paint" section on the end of a aisle and usually have some there as well. Think slow cure is the same price.

You probably will not find it any cheaper than that. I have a Port Supply account (west marine wholesale) and can't get it any where near that price.

I put 5200 on all of the rivets on the bottom of my boat. It's held up very well until the last day of the season, and the ice tore some off. It's good stuff for sure.

I have 5200 holding down the dual battery tray in my boat. My bilge pumps are also 5200'd to the floor of the boat. Its some serious shit but takes a week to cure.

Both cure about as hard and strong, but the regular will slightly soak into wood for a better hold than the fast cure. But for what your doing fast cure will be fine.

Is the white 5200 ok? That's all they had at Home Depot. In boycotting lowes so fuck them. That's out of the question.

Yup. I thinks that's the fast cure stuff. The red is the regular I think.

Maybe not then. I've always bought the fast cure from Home Depot and it was always white. We use the week cure stuff at work and it's red. Must just be a dye.

I'm almost 99% sure the red tube is 3200, which isn't as strong as 5200. There's fast cure and regular. I'd give the regular 5200 4 or 5 days at least to let it cure.

Red and white tube is fast cure 5200. Blue and white tube is regular 5200.

You can get slow cure 5200 that is black but you would have to go to marine supplier and it will be about $22 or more.

The actual adhesive is red? I use 5200 all the time and have never seen red.

Maybe that is the mahogany color they make, never used.

For fuck's sake, it's February, Flint. Just get whatever, put it on there, and come back in a month. Not like you're going to be going boating any time soon.

10-4...I need some to redo the rivets on my ride soon. They're all the same adhesive strength, right?

This is Georgia it's snowing outside right now, but it could very easily be in the high 80s within a few days.

Yes. I would guess it is dyed for, like you said, use on mahogany. We get it by the boxes, so I'm guessing it's special order.

Lots of posts about someone who wants to cheap out on some $85 motor mounts. Quit fucking around, start jacking off and sell the results to a sperm bank and take the money and spend it on the real thing. Jesus! We ain't going to send you any mounts and trying to Mickey Mouse the things is going to leave you stranded and no matter how much you tap-a-talk, when you are broke down there are few of us here that can tow you home. Probably lots of people that will tow you to the ramp for $200 though.
