Duck boat video

Postby Olly » Sat Mar 22, 2014 9:19 am

Here's a video I slapped together with my new Gopro and my Gator Trax riding around the Mobile Delta.

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

I was thinking more along the lines of "Poule d'eau roundup!"

The excessive use of runway clearly gives them away as mallards.

I had the camera off when that happened unfortunately. Would have made a cool clip in fast speed.

Looks good. What kind of editing software does it take to clip a video together like that?

Have you tried the gopro editing software? I've heard mixed feelings on it and haven't tried it out with mine yet.

Nice video. How do you mount your cameras and get the different point of views? With the GoPro standard mounts?

Editing is always the bitch. I personally didn't like the GoPro editing software. I am getting along better with the Sony software, but am going to look at what you are using, too.

That's a hell of a boat. All you are lacking is a big sail and a group of online friends to help you discuss it :)

I loved seeing the dog. How does he like the boat? Do you let him swim from it?

Liked the video Olly, nothing like getting out and running a tank of gas through the boat just for the sake of being on the water.
