Trailer vertical side guides

Postby 3legged_lab » Sun Apr 06, 2014 8:15 pm

Here are a couple pics of the side guides that came on my boat trailer. The 2" pvc is is 26" tall, and the 2 sections of square tube are 2"X2" and 2 1/2" X 2 1/2". I wasnt happy with how the 1/2" bolts (1 on the vertical and 1 on horizontal) kept loosening up so I added a 3.5" bolt all the way through to lock it down.

If you launch and load in salt water, take those off once every few trips and wash them well......Advice from experience.

That boat/trailer hasn't seen any salt in its 8 year life yet.
