Hey guys, I have a Fishmaster 1432 with a 25 hp Johnson on it. I'm looking to up the weight limit a little bit and I have heard people really liking the flotation pods. Any of you have experience putting these on? Any have on your 12 or 14 footer boat?

I just put the beavertail pods on my 1648. I don't know if they would work on the boat that narrow. You might have to go custom. I don't know how much I like them yet because I haven't had it in the water since I put them on.

It's always going to be a small narrow boat. Why don't you look for a 16x48 or larger boat. 18x54 and 18x60 are pretty roomy and comfortable, especially tiller steer.

This really doesnt answer his question at all.

@op, I have a friend who has a 14'er, cant remember if its a 32 wide or not, and he added pods and was happy with the added flotation. Believe he bought the smallest size beaver tail makes. I also put pods on my boat and gained about 1.5" extra free board at the transom.

Also, PM Jehler here on this site. He and his son put some on one of there small skiffs. He might have some insight.
I've been considering putting some on my 1648 so I can run a little bigger pump and get on top faster but, after I look at the prices and the fact I have to pay someone to weld it, it's probably better to just upgrade to a bigger rig. You might end up deciding the same too.
The boats that I have been in with them get up on top faster, kind of like trim tabs that aren't adjustable.
