Put the gator tail on. It's a 35hp with stage one ( ported, polished, and decked heads, performance cam, bps exhaust, and modified stock carb)

How thick is the bottom? How does it run as its not the common mud hull?

I think the whole boat is 1/8 from the research I've done. Lake sport went out of business a few years ago and it's really hard to find info on them. I did find they made a marsh series duck boat and they are 1/8 and I think this is one of them

I could see where the gator glide would help me out a lot,...but I can also see where it might get me more stuck!

Sand is what I usually bottom out on, and there isn't any give to it. So, it would help to pull the boat back into deeper water, but it would also get me further onto it than I would want...

It runs fairly well for what it is. It dosnt quite perform to it full potential but I'm satisfied for now. It does ties great which most mud boats don't

I run quite a bit of sand to but being able to get out of bad situations easier is worth maybe getting stuck

Bad ass man...
That sucker will flat scream won't it!!??

I've just got an old MB longtail. Right after I bought it, the surface drives (or whatever they're called) became all the rage.
I was a day late and a dollar short... ;)
It does what I need it to do, but it'll never replace an outboard as far as convenience, reverse, or speed.
Does yours have reverse?
