How back heavy is that going to be? Weld pods on to it.

Pods fix everything.

Some trash settled in carbs couldn't get over idle. Did pour gas in the carbs at one point and it did pull off strong. Going to see if I can get them clean and get back out

The 15 i had hanging off it was around 90 and I'd guess this motor around 50 or 60. So lighter and it sits in the bottom of the boat vs hanging off the back. Don't think it will be necessary for pods.

Are you planning on leaving the boat rough done, or are you making making an engine box...counsel...floor... The whole 9 yards?

Once it's running right I'll build a raised deck over the motor with a swivel seat to drive from directly in front of it. Figure no point until I verify it works.

Didn't touch it again today was busy with offers on our house.

Define leak..... lol! Can't say yet cause I forgot to put bolts back in a couple holes on the transom and the pisser line off the manifold wasn't on. When I had water at my feet and no signs of carbs clearing themselves I put it on the trailer. Still not saying my welds leak yet!!

Boat put up 30mph on gps. Have to tweak a few things because it was cavitating pretty good at top end. It has more speed in it for sure. Working on video now.

Had to edit down the clip, was well... a bit excited at first and figured an all ear version was needed.

Enough skill build a beautiful jet Jon but shoots video in portrait mode.

Putting a spoon in front of the intake will get rid of the cavitation!

Saw that on the other build but was trying to avoid it for now. I filled some spots with bondo that seemed to help a lot today.

What about just putting a little weight in the front of the boat to put the water line a little father forward?

I would think a loaded boat will have less issues as well.

You're selling me on this. Any less cavitation? If you ever get the opportunity, load that thing down as much as you can and let me know what it does.

Can't say since I made a modification to the tunnel between the solo and hunt trip. So I could actually be wrong and be faster solo now.
