HELP WANTED - Sculling Oar
Posted: Sun Oct 28, 2018 8:49 amI’ve dreamed of owning a Sculling Boat for 30 plus years. Being from Missouri, there doesn’t seem to be many around and I couldn’t find one to even look at in person till this week. So, of course I had to buy it!
It is a LSB Brant II that’s been stored in a barn for decades by a guy originally from Michigan who’s in a nursing home. Unfortunately, there was no paddle to be found and he’s unable to provide any leads.
So far, I’ve only been able to locate oars on Lock Stock & Barrel and Shaw & Tenney. I’m in the $400 range or more to get one to my door which was a bit of a surprise!
No one else I’ve ever met has ever been sculling to give me some guidance on which oar I really need and/or where to obtain one at a reasonable price. Can anyone out there assist me in getting this rig moving forward???
