Back form Wyoming scouting trip.

Well, I'm back from my WY scout trip. I made an attempt to take a few pictures while out scouting and riding. Most of the animal pics didn't turn out too well due to they were all cell pics.

Here are a few the pics I took.

This first pic is a young moose bull that let me get about 40 yards away before he decided that was close enough.





The second night in camp, there was a visitor. This young doe was only 4 steps from us and she would feed out away from us and then come back to that same spot. We were talking out loud and sitting in chairs next to a lantern so, she definately knew we were there. On the third night 2 deer repeated the same ritual but not as close. We could hear them outside the tent when we crashed for the night.

I can't wait, just three weeks and I'll be back there chasing elk(hopefully rutting,the elk that is).
Our drive out to camp kind of sucked on Friday. We got 1/4 mile from where our intended camp and hunting spot was and the bridge was blockaded and marked "Road closed". It sucks we can't camp back there with out packing there with the horses but, it will keep most of the walkins out or at least not as deep into the area. It might actually help us in the long run.

That looks like a great time. Some day I hope to get to go on an elk hunt or two. I can't wait to see the pictures of your hunt. Good luck and if you run out of room in your freezer, let me know. I will "store" some of it for you.
