It was good eating. Better than deer IMO.

I've had bear. I thought it was terrible.
And I've yet to came across a meat better than a whitetail.

To me, bear meat is not that good. Everyone says boil it first then cook however and it's better, still not that good IMO. I'll eat it but it's definitely on the list of meats I could live without.

Moose meat is by far the best of all wild game I've eaten.

Elk will make you forget about whitetail as well.
