Shoot it in the face.

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven." Such is the rule of honor.

My grandpa shot the face off a doe with a .357 about 3 years before I was born. That's all I got.

I shot one with a P220 and 230gr FMJ from about 15 yards and piled her right up.

I think I'd limit my self to 20-25 yds max with a .45ACP

Yeah, if you treat shot selection like you would with a bow it should be fine.

I finished a couple off with my kimber .45 using some personal protection loads. The hollow points just loaded up with hair and never expanded. I've since gone to some Montana gold bullets but haven't had a chance to use them yet.
