And it's supposed to be raining again by Saturday morning, which pisses me off.

Three straight days in a tree stand? How's your back? A little stiff?

I get 6 days a year for firearm here. (shotgun or muzzy only, no rifle) ill be here till I get some meat. I don't really even enjoy deer hunting but it sure packs the freezer.

Pull this up on your phone and hold it at arms length.

I probably should have plugged this one. Honest 130 from opening day a few years ago. If I had my bow I would have.

Damn that's a nice buck!

I just had a small buck, maybe a 4 and three does running past on the down side of the hill from me. They must have gotten pushed, I hate the deer drives.

Driving works in farm country, where you have fields on three or more sides, but old, big woods bucks know the game way better than a bunch of Pollacks romping through the forest. I've watched bucks sneak right through drivers or hold tight plenty of times.

I actually passed a wider 10 point earlier that morning before I took that picture. I had killed two bucks the year before so I was trying to be all "big buck hunter". I regret that one. It was pushing 140 and would have been far nicer than anything I've killed. Only deer that I regret letting go.

I'm not picky, if it walks close enough its going down. I'm out to get some meat, not a trophy. Looks like I'll be out again tomorrow since I didn't get any today. I sure hope to get this over with already.

Give me your address and pay shipping and I can send you a pile of meat, I've got more than a single man can eat in a year.

And........looks like I'll be at it again tomorrow. Had a fawn pass right under my stand today but a deer needs to be bigger than my dog to make it worth it. Also a group of 6 does a little to far for a good shot.

You young guys gotta learn that before you take pictures like that, at least wipe the milk off their muzzles.

That's a lesson I had to learn the hard way this season. I filled my first tag. Could of easily filled my second tag on the last week of the season. But No I was greedy and past up like 6 small bucks trying to get one of the big guys running around out there, and on the last day of the season I didn't see shit. Expect one little forky 300 yards away. Running like it had a rocket up it's ass to my neighbors property. Now with only one buck in the freezer I'd doubt it will last us very long at all.
