Fairly common in that area this time of year. Quite a bit of J. Clarke Salyer Refuge is in that area. Lots of ducks produced there and they have a pretty big banding program. My only gripe with their banding program is they do it even into the hunting season so of course the ducks don’t come off the refuge as much as they should Because they are feeding them.
South of the refuge is a town called Towner. They flood that area usually in the spring because there’s so many hayfields.
That flooding also means that walleye fishing will be great just south of the US Canada border over there. That is called the Mouse river and it comes out of Canada in my area and goes back into Canada over there.
