Post-Season 2023

Went up to the farm over the weekend and did some spring sprucing. Filled in some dirt around pit, sprayed for carpenter bees, trimmed trees, etc. Was nice to see fair many spoons and BW teal out and about on just about every piece of water in the area. Weather was about perfect for such activities, nice NE breeze and cool temps.

Dog got some work.

Though turns out there's some alligators out and about, something we've previously not seen (though no doubt they've about always been around). Thankfully all we SAW were very small......but momma had to be somewhere I'm sure

Also made a point to pull up all the whatever-the-hell-weed it was a year ago that grew up to be woody and a real PITA to deal with come opener preparations. Pulled 'em up by the roots in hopes of making a dent, likely will take a similar re-effort in next month or two.

Fine way to spend a spring weekend. (Made a round of Cherry Ridge and saw some birds with Clark and a DU rep this morning, but would sure rather have a spot to prep.)
