The one that didn't get away. Dogs remember. Left on their own, it's something they must check out.

BTW, excellent strap of 4 + 2.

Thank you very much for the compliment my friend...
I carry those moist and meaty dog food packets in my blind bag and I give her one every morning sometime during the hunt....
She didn't actually need a treat for this duck, she was fired up, you could tell she was proud of her duck....
I think my actual words were: where did you get him at little girl, ain't you something....

I appreciate the reply bud... I don't know if she remembered, but if she smells a duck she will check it out...

It rained here yesterday morning so Trigger and I didn't hunt...
We hunted this morning, it's warm here 50° ish...
It wasn't hot and heavy by any means, but we had our chance at a limit, I just made some bad decisions hindsight is 20/20....
Three Gadwall, and a Blue Bill for Blake....

Rain sucks unless you're under the ducks.

That's a good way to put it under the Ducks, I've had a couple good hunts in the rain over the years.... Trigger and I will probably try them again Wednesday...

Trigger and I hunted this morning... Slim Pickens around here, the only Ducks we saw came to die as Rick would say... Scouted after the hunt and did not find anything... We're going to go to Western Oklahoma and give Moe a chance at some Bob White Quail this weekend....

Was puny too. Woke up, got up, moved around, groaned, and went back to bed. Stormy weather makes AB achy.

Rick give me a hard time about my spelling earlier... This morning he hunted with 115-yr-old son...
Made me think of a mother daughter combo that would come in three or four times a year to the doctor's office, of a close doctor friend of mine that I used to shoot sporting plays with... Dr Randall Carson... The daughter was 87 and the mother was 105.... He mentioned them several times, I think they were quite the pair...

Touche. Joseph Heller, who wrote the then famous novel Catch 22, once told me I was "the reason God made copy editors". And I no doubt gave them a workout.

I had forgot but do remember reading about your copy editor comments...

First Duck the young man killed was banded???
Pretty special day, I'm sure he is hooked...

First banded duck I killed was a Green Winged Teal Drake, but a long way from the first duck...

I'm going to have to dig out my back up log, I think it was January of 18 the last time I had weather similar to this.... We have December water temperatures, and a minimum 12 mile an hour wind, so I think we'll have some hard water, but not for long... We shall see...

Been sick all week, but feeling a little better...
Trigger and I are going to do our best to give it a go tomorrow...
Probably going to be a rough boat ride...

So true, Rick...
I've been wearing that GoPro on my head, and it's a pain... But I have some dang good memories because of it... It's also turned out to be somewhat of a dog training tool, what I remember happening isn't always what happened, if that makes sense... I have cut Moe some slack because of it...

Think I'm finally over this sickness, I've been able to work the last 3 days... Don't know what happened during the cold weather or what might have been...
Trigger and I are going to see if there's anything left, expectations aren't very high, it's warm here... Haven't scouted in two plus weeks, we're going to rely on luck...

Grays and Canadas seems an odd mix to someone accustomed to thinking they their wintering preferences states apart. Guess not.
