Location: coworker's place west of Bunkie

Cloud Cover: clear

Wind Direction and Velocity: calm

Temperature: mid 60's then warming up

Moon phase: full

Special Notes: first hunt for me since losing my buddy Dakota on teal season opener.

Waterfowl Activity: bird's usually come to the lake after sunrise, but today they came early

Waterfowl Responsiveness: 2 small bunches came in but they were hard to see early in the cypress lake.

Special Equipment: 1 teal spinner and 4 shakers

Kudos: good meal at camp last night and a nice easy hunt in a pretty place this morning. Stopped at Bayou Chicot meat market for some fresh pork sausage to cook with the teal this evening.

curses: Nelson's first duck hunt but still waiting on his first duck.

Birds By Species: 4 blue winged teal

They do OK there in regular season? Could see that as a nice loafing hole after the nearby ag lands bang on em.

Beautiful spot like that would make me want to take along a rod and reel too!
