10/22

Anybody have one they've modified? Have one laying around I've always thought about messing with some but not sure if it'd really be worth it. What do you find realistic ranges before and after mods?

You can accurize them, but it's still a .22. You aren't going to tack on a lot of range.

The absolute 1st thing I'd do is replace the trigger-the stock trigger is junk. I put the Volquartson in mine and it makes a huge difference.

I replaced the bbl with a mid-weight Green Mtn bbl at 20" and added a Houge over molded stock.

I've got the bbl off now and plan to cut 1/2x28 threads this weekend.

Best thing for a 10/22 is a 30 round clip and a low power scope, in my opinion. I have shot some really tricked out 10/22's and stock ones. Tricked out ones are nice but for the money it doesn't seem worth it to me.
