Haydels have guts and DC has a toneboard.

Gotcha, there aren't any. I've tried 4 different people. 2 of em said yes they had guts, ended up being gutserts.

The DC is a nice call, sounds like a wood duck. Or did you mean fancy assed call?

Exactly what I meant. Just bought a DC woody this afternoon.

Fancy assed is what I'm looking for. I like the haydels woody squealer better, but the dc is a good one. Haydels has more volume and both can be choked down and get whatever sounds you want with hand control.

Had a great one I gave to a friend who mostly hunts woodies and admired it, so it would get the work it deserved. Then took a fit to own another and got some extra reeds for it but never could get it to run as sweet as the first. Good, but not great.

From a practical standpoint, though, it's handier for me to work what woodies we get a crack at in the marsh by choking a speck call, anyway. (But I may still take a fit to give another DC a go.)

Speck calls make good woody calls. When I hunt areas not typical of woodies, I use a speck call for em. On the bayous and cypress swamps I take a woody call.

Be interesting to see how you like it. I've one from what I think was the edition before that (scrolled insert but without on the barrel?) that has, again what I think, the same tone board. Drives like a truck compared to what I normally run, but has what I think a neat tone. The Janis Joplin of susies.

It's not my first one nor the only one I have. I have a 3rd gen (half scroll) too. Before selling my collection I had one if each.

I really like them. But out of RNTs line up, I prefer the mvp. To me it's the best call they ever made. Out of bored out meat style calls I like ny RM gold digger the best. Volume of the mvp, rasp of the dc, smoothness of a short barrel and less than half the hold. Has an awesome bottom end too. But when someone offers to trade an osdc for a zink nos, it's a no brainer.

Believe it or not on the fuge. He said I have a daisy cutter I'll trade for it but it's older and about a 6/10. Needs to be retuned but I don't feel like sending it in. I'll add cash if you want. I said no cash outta not wanting to feel like I completely screwed him over. Based on the pics the wife sent a new cork and reed is all it needs.

Don't plan on it, it's a real collector but if I do it's yours. Speaking of, was that green one you sent modified by someone? I remember the tone board being bare aluminum and having a filed look where as the one I have is painted.

I think Tyler may have played with it a little. The other two I have are both painted.

Ones a little higher and ones a little lower. Other than that they're about the same. I'm getting them back this week and will send it back down your way if you want to compare them yourself.

Don't worry about, the only way I would consider getting one modded would be if I get more than one.

I don't know if anybody would mod it for ya if you wanted too. The aluminum may be too much of a pain in the ass for them to work with. I know that was one of the contributing factors of its discontinuation.
