Yes, that's one of the old ones, and has been modified by Tyler Rogers. I should have an extra barrel coming in sometime in the next few days.

About a month.

I had it shipped to the house because I was going home and figured it was going to be there when I was. Then I had to wait for it to get shipped back up here.

I haven't used a call yet this season. We've only got 6 mallards, but none of them came due to calling

I wasn't hunting, just practicing. I worded my response bad. Our season doesn't open until November.

I would like you to look close at the barrel. Is it cracked and had a piece super glued back in? It's a long shot but...Logan's call was like that and got stolen last September.
Plz Forgive me for asking.

Its not a problem betty. The call is like new. Still had the old black reed in it before Tyler cut it.

Nice. I put a lot of ducks on the table with Logan's D2 keyhole before I retired it and gave it to him.
In five years he will be my "call boy" .

Can see it now..."Logan! Highball...now!!!"

My guide friends all ask to hear me call. They laugh, say it sounds awful, but take it back when I start pulling greenheads out of my cooler.
They shake their heads and mutter, walking away, kicking the ground...it's a ritual and have performed it many times.

Went out this morning to a 2 acre pond with some flooded timber on one end. Got set up and waiting for LST, no wind, not much for sounds when all of a sudden a mallard hen cranks off a loud half ass quack in that timber. Woke me up for sure. She started quacking heavy after that and I swear she sounded like a 4 pack a day smoker with an occasional 5th of Jack thrown in.

I've listened to ducks for many years. There are times where I said "fuck hunting", took my gun, put it in the truck, and set up on the refuge, just to listen to ducks, call, and decoy them.
GW's kinda frowned on it but could not do shit about it.
That, is how I finally learned how to call ducks.

I did that at SanChris Lake, Lake Shelbyville, and other wildlife refuges. Time well spent when ducks weren't really flying. Refuge STACKED.
