I actually have a harder time making it clean. Might be all you need, and is probably worth learning to do even if you end up with a new call...

I can get quiet rasp out of my DC. But when I get on it to try and get loud it gets real high and crisp.

I'd like to think you could get plenty loud and raspy with that DC. Have you heard the Carlson's championship calls CD? I know it did far more for me than buying a bunch of calls I couldn't run looking for one that fit.

Gurantee it will be the best $20 you'll spend in regard to calls. They put all the emphasis on air presentation and not just saying silly words into the call.

Nuff, that what you're calling crisp and clear isn't. It's very raspy for a typical j frame when compared to others and the same high end side of volume spectrum.

When I compared my DC to your gold digger the Daisy cutter was quite a bit raspier up top. But I want deep rasp like the cutdowns of yours I tried had. I really liked the way a couple of those olts ran and sounded.

Got it. I've heard a bunch of sound files, and I'll be getting one sometime in the future, IF he'll do green and ivory for me.

You won't be disappointed. He built the call with all of us in your situation in mind. One of my calls is ivory and he has boots on so in sure he can fix you up. Good luck with it.
